Polyethylene tubing is generally viewed as an economy choice in thermoplastic pneumatic tubing. While generally possessing better chemical resistance than nylon or polyurethane, polyethylene lacks the strength and temperature stability of nylon and the flexibility of polyurethane.

SMC's PEAPP series of polyethylene tubing is manufactured from linear low density resin for excellent environmental stress crack resistance. This economical, lightweight material has excellent chemical resistance. It is available in six primary colors and lengths of 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 ft. depending on size.
