AC servo rod actuators are designed for general purpose push, pull, lift, and press applications. By utilizing an AC servo motor instead of a DC motor, this series provides significantly improved performance in terms of speed, acceleration, and vertical load capacity. The series is highly adaptable, offering multiple motor mounting positions (top, bottom, or in-line) and various actuator mounting options like foot or flange brackets. It supports a wide range of body sizes and features positioning repeatability as precise as ±0.01mm with high-precision options.

25A-LEY Electric Actuator, AC Servo Motor

The 25A- series variations are compatible with secondary battery manufacturing for electronics, automotive, and other vehicle types. Design goals include eliminating copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) materials where possible, and employing a low dew point grease that retains lubricity even in low manufacturing temperatures. Please note that copper and zinc materials are used for the motors, cables, controllers and drivers.

LEY100 Motor Mount

LEY100 requires the motor mount to be ordered separately from the actuator. In-line and parallel motor mounts are available. Inline mount options combine a motor adapter, motor flange, shaft coupling and reducer. Parallel mount options combine a return box and plate, timing belt and pulley, motor flange and reducer. LEY100, High Output Rod

LEY100 is a rod actuator size exclusively fitted with an inline or parallel mounted 750W AC servo motor, with or without a lock. Three ballscrew pitch options assist in optimizing force and speed. The actuator can have a male or female rod end paired with tapped ends, foot double clevis or rod flange bracket for ISO15552 mounting. Optional drivers include pulse input or five different fieldbus types including Ethernet.

LEY100, Motorless, High Output Rod

This is the motorless version of the LEY100 which can be fitted with an inline or parallel mounted AC servo motor other than the standard chosen by SMC. Three ballscrew pitch options assist in optimizing force and speed. 1:3 and 1:5 reducers are also available to achieve different force and speed outputs. The actuator can have a male or female rod end paired with tapped ends, foot, double clevis or rod flange bracket for ISO15552 mounting. Compatible motors can be fitted from Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, Nidec, Sankyo, Keyence, or Delta Electronics. The motor adapter, flange and return box (if parallel mounted) are ordered separately.

LEY63, High Output Rod

The LEY63 rod is exclusively available with a 400W AC servo motor, available with incremental or absolute encoder. 4 ball screw pitch options assist in optimizing force and speed. LEY63 also offers an IP65 option. Optional drivers include pulse input and various communication protocols including Ethernet.
