Anti-Static Vacuum Suction Cups

Antistatic vacuum suction cups are manufactured from specially formulated conductive rubber and are used on the end of robotic arms for pick-and-place microchip applications. Unlike standard rubber suction cups which generate static electricity as a matter of course, these suction cups allow the electrical charge to safely bleed through the material to a grounded machine frame, protecting the components from damage.

The ZPR series features a lateral entry vacuum port using standard threaded connections for the vacuum line. It is built with static-conductive NBR or silicone rubber and is available in pad diameters from 2mm to 50mm, with flat, ribbed, deep, and bellows pad shapes. It's design allows vacuum tubing to run horizontally rather than vertically along the robotic arm or tooling plate. The ZPR safely grounds the tooling to prevent electrostatic discharge from damaging microchips and keeps lightweight product parts from sticking to the cup during release.

ZPT Static Conductive Suction Cup, Vertical Entry

The ZPT series is a vertical entry suction cup with the vacuum port located on top of the cup. It provides a direct, straight-line vacuum flow and is the easiest to mount on standard vertical pneumatic cylinders. The ZPT shares the same anti-static rubber materials as the lateral models to protect circuits from invisible static shocks during handling and to ensure lightweight films or circuit boards drop instantly when the vacuum is cut. The top port keeps the hose aligned with the motion of the cylinder, preventing it from getting caught on surrounding equipment.

The ZPY series is equipped with a barb fitting instead of a standard threaded port like the ZPR. It features a side-mounted vacuum port with a built-in barbed stem and has the same anti-static rubber options and pad shapes as the ZPR. The barb fitting allows flexible vacuum tubing to be pushed directly onto the cup without needing additional threaded pneumatic fittings.
